Welcome to Festalingwi, a celebration of European languages and culture for everybody.
Festalingwi – the language festival – is back at the University of Malta Valletta Campus on October 25.
Expect a programme featuring no less than 14 languages from all over Europe, with games, lessons, workshops, talks and shows for people of all ages and skill levels. From reading sessions for young children; to lessons, games and activities for children; to workshops, talks and games for older audiences – Festalingwi has something for everyone.
The event will see the local language influencer Kurt Rumbajsa host a themed quiz called “X’Antipatija ta’ Kwiżż” where he’ll be stepping out of our screens and into the hall, aiming to delight, frustrate and inform at the same time.
The Ħoss il-Malti concert returns at Festalingwi, featuring Nadine Axisa and Ġiżimina, on Sunday 25 October, at 19:00 at the Valletta Campus Theatre.
Attendance to all events is free.
Festalingwi is a European Day of Languages activity, organised by the office of the European Commission’s DG Translation in Malta in partnership with the University of Malta, the support of the EC Representation in Valletta, and the invaluable contribution of volunteers from all walks of life.
